Initial Sessions
In the first few sessions we will be working to build a trusting alliance which is necessary for effective therapy. Within the first 2 to 3 sessions we will have identified your primary needs and desired goals, and we will collaboratively develop a treatment plan that meets those needs and goals. We will also periodically review goals over time and determine if new goals are necessary.
Types of Therapy
I identify strongly as an Eclectic Therapist. I believe in the integration of multiple therapeutic modalities as there is no one size fits all treatment. I may utilize Psychodynamic Insight-Oriented Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solutions-Focused Therapy and others.
EMDR
I am also trained in EMDR which is a proven therapy for trauma resolution. The treatment originated as a treatment for PTSD but has since developed further towards addressing smaller traumas. EMDR is a type of therapy that works in conjunction with other therapy modalities and typically is not a stand alone treatment.

Fitness
I like to keep fitness as a talking point in therapy and believe that a healthy body and lifestyle can contribute to positive well-being. I’m an avid runner and have experienced the benefits of fitness firsthand.
